Dear Reader:
If you were to ask me, I’d say ‘I’m a mystery writer’; some of you may know my who-dun-its set in my beloved New Mexico. So, where does a foray into women’s fiction come in? Well, sometimes a book just has to be written—events in one’s life are simply too bizarre, too raw, too prophetic and too darned funny not to put on paper. If for no other reason than to assure others that we can survive whatever life throws our way!  Sixty is not an ending, but a beginning. It’s simply all in how we read the tea leaves!

Don’t misunderstand. That doesn’t make the challenges go away. And they do seem to loom bigger toward the end of life. But Boomers are redefining age—at forty, fifty, sixty and beyond. We are NOT our parents!

For example, getting dumped by a spouse or losing a spouse late in life is tough—but if we want a companion, we’ll find one. We just can’t think things have changed. Maybe the method of finding Mr. Wonderful; we didn’t have online dating way back when. But that exasperating boy in high school who drooled when he kissed? He’s still out there along with the one who was more octopus than human.

Yet, dreams are attainable at any stage in life—with tenacity, honesty, and enduring optimism. Time need not be an enemy. Tomorrow, in fact, might be our best day!

Enjoy 0 to 60! Perhaps, it was written just for you!
